Welcome to Yogi In You

The idea of Yogi In You is to offer a truly accessible approach to yoga for anyone interested in leveraging breath and body for better health. My classes start with simple breath work, exploring how we use our breath to reinforce our lives on and off the yoga mat. We then move to a physical practice focusing on breath, movement and alignment, building towards more flow, heat and a greater sense of purpose.
Ultimately a yoga practice can be strong and intense, toning all the muscle groups, without any sense of strain. It can also be very mindful, with time spent nurturing your body with movements to remove tension and restore a sense of physical and emotional calm.

If you are looking to build strength and flexibility or seeking help with anxiety or stress, yoga can help enormously. I run group classes online via Zoom and offer private 1:1 classes face-to-face at my peaceful home studio and online.

Testimonials

"We love our Friday yoga sessions! As a fully remote company, with our team spread across 5 cities and 3 countries, none of us actually meet in person. Our yoga sessions with Emma are a wonderful way to unwind and move our bodies, as well as do something together and bond during a mindful practice. By far, it's our favourite Zoom call!"

"I had often thought about trying Yoga but did not know how to get started from scratch. Emma’s excellent 1-2-1 Beginner’s sessions got me going and after 6 sessions I gained the confidence to join a group class. Each week I get stretched in a different direction and feel I am making good progress, gaining both spiritually and physically. I would thoroughly recommend it!"

"Recently, I was lucky enough to be involved in one of Emma's incredible Yoga classes! The class included a mix of mat exercises, meditation, breath work and flow delivered in a creative style. Immediately from the first moments of the session, Emma took the time to create a calm and safe environment to build strength without pushing the body to the limit. Emma was great at correcting posture in a highly motivational manner and effortlessly moved past the restrictions of online classes. Working with Emma was both motivational and uplifting and I recommend Yogi in You to anyone who wants to get started with their yoga journey. I'm looking forward to working more with Emma in the future."

"I joined Emma’s 6 Week Beginner’s Class via Zoom in November and it has literally transformed my life! I suffer from a chronic nerve condition and have not been able to do any exercise with exception of walking and swimming for over 5 years. Emma sought to understand the condition and the muscles that should be avoided in order for me to relax and tone my body without exacerbating or trapping the nerve. Although I had previously participated in Yoga prior to my injury, I realized that I had never been taught the right postures and breathing techniques. Emma is such a wonderful teacher and coach and I cannot recommend her highly enough."

"Thanks Emma for the delightful classes, the pace and balance is just right for me and I love the way you build on some familiar poses to develop them whilst also popping in some new postures each week. The integration of physical movements and our mental approach is also fascinating to me - I find that every lesson I learn something new about yoga and about myself, and my way of thinking. I have been astonished at how intuitive you are - so often your class has 'hit the spot' in terms of a new way to think about a challenge in every day life which has brought me a fresh perspective and insight as well as peace and comfort. It is so lovely to be on the mat with you. Thank you."

"I suffer from back pain, sciatica and a stressed pelvis, which causes problems with bladder and bowel functions. I have been using yoga to relax my pelvis, stretch my joints and my muscles and release the pressure when I do a lot of running.
Emma came wonderfully prepared, which I was grateful for. She asked me a lot of questions ahead of the session and tailored the session to my needs, current and ongoing. She was very thorough and talked me through each pose in details. She also focused on breathing exercises, which she explained, are very important to manage pain but also to relax. I learned about body appreciation and self-care, which can be very challenging for chronic illness sufferers. I really enjoyed the session, I now feel more flexible and much more relaxed!"

"I wanted to get into yoga for sometime but wasn’t sure where to start. My goal was to improve my health and fitness for body and mind. Previously I had tried to get into running with the C25k programme, Pilates and had some PT sessions. However, I have a back injury and these activities often would leave me in pain the following day or days. I was a bit anxious about starting yoga and having the same experience, Emma was fantastic and created classes which helped strengthen my back muscles and didn’t cause me any pain. I have been pain free since practicing yoga. I started with next to no flexibility and each week I noticed an improvement. There are also huge mental wellness benefits to the practice so it can be very healing for the mind and body. I am totally hooked on yoga now and would recommend Emma’s classes to anyone and everyone, she’s a fantastic teacher who enables you to carry on the practice outside of classes. I really look forward to each class and continuing my yoga journey."
